After 14 months of mapping, scouting, and planning, the time had finally come. Weeks and days before I started my walk around Salton Sea I moved to North Shore and started the count-down. If there was going to be any shit, soon, it would be hitting the fan. Oh my God. What have I gotten myself into?
Day #1 of my walk started-off like a fork in my eyeball and before I knew it, the enormity of the next 6 days was beginning to sink in.
Day #2 of my walk around Salton Sea was the last of the ‘easy’ days, but miscalculations and mud put me behind schedule.
Day #3 – Thursday June 11, 2015. The shortest day so far turned out to be the most difficult day yet in my walk around Salton Sea.
Day #4, Friday June 12 2015: Ravaged by “brain burn”, I no longer remember much from this day forward.
Day 5, Saturday June 13, 2015 was planned to be the shortest and easiest day so far but it soon became the most life-threatening day of the entire journey.
Day #6 – The last day. 14 months of my life all came down to the next 5 hours.
